Byron Werner

The man who rediscovered Raymond Scott, and spread the word to DJ’s, musicians and animators around the country, leading directly to the early ’90s revival.  Byron is also a fine artist, and his portrait of Raymond Scott, originally given to Mitzi Scott, will be on exhibit at the festival.

These days, Byron along with co-host Donavan Suitt has weekly radio show called THE RURAL WAR ROOM, now in it’s 12th year as an internet broadcast and podcast out of Little Rock, AR: http://www.ruralwarroom.com

The show, which Byron describes as World Wide Weird, features music of all genres and periods, much of it from their personal record collections. And yes, they do play lots of Raymond Scott.
